Management Team

The management team and key Cerafor associates have substantial experience in the clinical trials sector. We have delivered on numerous international clinical trial programs and global regulatory submissions. We have also managed clinical trials across all phases (I-IV) and have extensive therapeutic area experience.

Within the team there is also considerable specialised technical expertise including in-depth knowledge of industry standards including CDISC and international regulatory data submission requirements.

All Cerafor ‘core’ team members have more than 15 years experience in delivering clinical trials.

At all times our focus is on delivering projects to the satisfaction of our clients and our core values of innovation, quality and integrity ensure that we do this effectively, efficiently and to a very high quality.

Stephen Bamford

Stephen is a co-founder of Cerafor. As a director of the company his responsibilities include provision of technical leadership, business operations and strategic business development.

Stephen started his career in clinical biometrics at Pfizer in 1995. During his 12 years at the company he took on biometrics leadership roles of increasing responsibility and led the analysis and reporting of numerous international clinical trials and worked as a key member on five global NCE submissions. After leaving Pfizer, Stephen worked in a number of senior management positions at an international biometrics CRO for four years.

Stephen also founded The PhUSE Organisation in 2004 and led the Board of Directors as President for eight years. He holds a BSc in Statistics from Coventry University. Stephen is married with two children, lives in Kent in the UK and is a keen supporter of Welsh rugby.

Martin Wilson

Martin is a co-founder of Cerafor. As a director of the company his responsibilities include oversight and management of all projects, management of partners and suppliers and strategic business development.

Martin began his career in the Pharmaceutical Industry in 1994. He was most recently Head of Project Management at an international biometrics CRO following 10 years at Pfizer where he held global leadership positions of increasing responsibility in project management and development operations. Prior to joining Pfizer in 1999, Martin worked in clinical team leadership roles at Schering.

Martin is a qualified pharmacist and holds a PhD from the University of Wales, College of Cardiff and a BSc from the University of Manchester. He is married with two children, lives in rural Kent in the UK and is a keen football fan and coach.
